Version 1.5 of techMatrix LLC Weld Works
Software Suite™, its Web-based weld management software, now includes integrated
statistical functions to create grouped and
nongrouped box plots for quick visual interpretation of weld data.
In addition, manufacturers can upload
variable test data, such as that from pull or
peel testing, directly into the database. This
allows them to correlate production weld
data with either destructive or nondestructive data.
Manufacturers that own modern weld
controllers can capture a complete picture of
their resistance weld process using the software, without any additional hardware monitoring equipment. The software leverages
the controller’s already built-in monitoring
features.

Olympus NDT has
introduced the Epoch
1000 series digital
ultrasonic flaw detectors with phased-array
imaging capabilities.
They provide conventional ultrasound capabilities for both
standard and advanced-level inspectors.
The portable instruments also can be
integrated into small systems for high-speed
scanning and single-channel imaging. They
come standard with a 6-kHz maximum
pulse rate frequency with single-shot measurements for high-speed scanning applications, tunable square wave pulser with
PerfectSquare™ technology, digital high
dynamic range receiver, and comprehensive
digital filter sets for signal-to-noise clarity.

Manual production
welding control
Wolf Robotics has integrated the Wolf Cell
Control into a functional package for manual
welding operations. This allows for monitoring the performance and production process
to track arc-on, weld count, weld sequence,
wire deposition, cycle times, and to record
welding wire usage.
The control can be integrated to the
manufacturer’s SmartPositioner to monitor
status and identify weldments with photos
and displays of weld locations while manipulating the part position for the operator.
Production management can establish
preset allowable qualified values to select
from so operators stay within prescribed
parameter ranges. This prevents different
shift operators from tweaking programs
when optimum settings already exist.
