Weld cleaning brush

Anderson’s new Controlled Flare End Brush (CFE) is designed to remove heavy weld spatter, flash, and scale in hard-to-reach areas such as right angles and corners. The patent-pending design of the new brush helps reduce filament fatigue, resulting in less wire breakage in demanding applications. It also allows minimal flaring, so more wire points can clean the surface.

The brush is suitable for heavy-duty fabrication applications such as weld cleaning, deflashing, roughening, rust and oxidation removal, and surface preparation. It is available in steel and stainless steel wire with diameters of 0.0104, 0.014, and 0.020 in. Brush diameters are ¹⁄ ³2, ⁄ 4, and 1 in. in various trim lengths.

Air-cooled GMAW gun

Fronius has introduced the air-cooled PullMIG gun for aluminum welding. The torch is designed to work with the company’s GMAW power source, reaching a maximum current of 400 amps.

The air-cooled push torch features syner-gic lines designed for the difficult welding characteristics of aluminum.

Nd:YAG laser welding system

Process Welding Systems Inc. offers the HTS 160-W Nd:YAG laser system. It features motor traverse in X/Y/Z and R axes, teach-in function, autoweld (CNC), internal compressor cooling system, and a precision rail system by THK.

The machine can join dissimilar and exotic materials with low heat input, low thermal distortion, and with filler materials.

The Lincoln Electric Co. offers a new model of its Vantage^®500 engine-driven welding machine in a compact case. Now at the same dimensions as the 300

and 400 models, the Vantage 500 Perkins^®is suitably sized for truck beds where available space and weight capacity are limited.

The stainless steel roof and side panels provide corrosion resistance and help reduce maintenance. Simple controls help minimize training time.

The unit’s four-cylinder, 1,800-RPM, turbo-charged diesel engine runs smoothly and quietly while meeting EPA Tier 4i standards. Its 20-gal. fuel tank provides nine hours of welding at 500A/40V/100 percent duty cycle output, or 33 hours at high idle.
