Practical Welding Today® and Be True to Your School 2009
– A Winning Combination!
” Welding and manufacturing are cool.“
That is the message from Brennan Palmiter, a 17-year-old stock car racer and part-time welder. Practical Welding Today is teaming up again with Brennan in 2009 to
encourage the next generation of welders to pursue careers in manufacturing by
taking this message to the finish line with its 30,000 subscribers and over 120,000
monthly Web site visitors.
PWT is also asking its readers to nominate a high school where Brennan, along with his stock car,
will speak to students about welding, racing, and manufacturing. The selected high school must
have a shop or vocational program in order to qualify for Brennan’s visit. In addition, the selected
high school may be eligible to receive a donation of equipment to their shop or vocational
program. The winning nominating PWT subscriber will be awarded a $500 American Express
gift card.
The deadline for nominations is Thursday, September 1, 2009.
The winner will be announced during the month of October, and the November/December PWT
issue will feature the winning PWT reader and his or her school. The visit from Brennan will take
place in either November or December.
Nominate your school today and “Be True To Your School” with Brennan Palmiter and
