launched to provide information, regulatory
updates, expert insights, and resources for
workers responsible for implementing new
Environmental Protection Agency noise
reduction ratings (NRR) into the workplace.
Sponsored by E-A-R, Peltor, and 3M,
the site offers news updates when changes are
made to regulations; answers to frequently
asked questions; articles; and an opportunity
to pose questions to hearing conservation
experts, including E-A-R Senior Scientist
Elliott Berger and 3M Technical Adviser Ted

Scientific Dust Collectors, Alsip, Ill.,
recently revised and updated its Web site at
www.scientificdustcollectors.com to simplify access to information about its line of
dust collection equipment. The site provides
information on the company’s line of bag-house dust collectors, cartridge dust collectors,
and bin vents.
The company has added several new
technical papers on dust collection to the site.

The Vanadium Technology Partnership
(VTP), a consortium of vanadium producers
and researchers, has launched www.hsla-v.
org, a site for users of traditional steel and
vanadium steel and producers of vanadium.
Potential users of the product can reference
case studies of research and applications,
determine appropriate uses of HSLA-V steel,
read about environmental sustainability, and
learn where this type of steel is available.
The site features a product availability
search tool that allows visitors to choose a steel
producer, product, and size/specification/
grade. A results page then displays the
company or companies that carry the specific
product, as well as ordering information.
People and promotions
Marc Levesque has
rejoined CenterLine
(Windsor) Ltd.,
Windsor, Ont., as director, corporate marketing.
In his new position, he
supports the company in
promoting its products
and services, as well as assists in the introduction of new products and business initiatives.
Levesque served most recently as director,
business development with Global Vehicle
Systems Inc. Before that he spent more than
20 years with CenterLine in positions such as
marketing representative and sales manager.

Stan Merrick has been
promoted to vice president of sales at Techalloy
Welding Products,
Baltimore. He is responsible for the worldwide
sale of the company’s
stainless steel and nickel-alloy welding wires and electrodes.
Merrick previously was the company’s
director of sales for North America. He has
more than 25 years of experience in the welding industry and is a graduate of Penn State
University. Assisting him in overseeing the
company’s sales and marketing network are
Gary Powell, director-export sales, Christina
Partoza, manager-sales operations, and the
rest of the Techalloy welding wire sales team.

has appointed Craig
Johnson as vice president, Alloy Products
Group.
Johnson, who has been with the company
for more than 20 years and served most
recently as commercial director for the
Alloy Products Group, is responsible for
sales and marketing. He began his career
with the company as the materials manager,
where he was responsible for negotiating
the purchase of strategic metals used to
manufacture Colmonoy® alloys and
Nicrobraz® filler metals.
