Compact angle grinder

Metabo Corp. offers the 5-in. W11-125 Quick compact-class angle grinder. It features a quick wheel change system that allows changing of disks without the use of tools.

With a 9.6-amp motor, the tool is suitable for cutting and grinding applications in the mechanical maintenance and metalworking industries. Its Vibratech (MVT) side handle reduces vibration up to 60 percent, the company says. A dual-position side handle and racket-grip design help ensure secure operation.

The grinder features a spindle lock button, auto-stop carbon brushes, and the company’s S-Automatic safety slip clutch to help protect the operator from kickback.

The unit weighs 5. 8 lbs. and has a fully encapsulated on/off switch and carbon brush holders, double-lipped labyrinth sealed bearings, and a dust-deflecting winding protection grid.
