Fiber laser welding machine
The LF1000A 1-kW
fiber laser welding
machine is available
from Miyachi Unitek.
The unit features
real-time power feed-
back, a 100 percent
optically isolated cavity,
energy and time share options, and laser
characteristics specifically tuned for laser
welding. According to the manufacturer,
these features enable high-speed penetration
welding of steel and aluminum with stability
and reliability.

Bug-O Systems has introduced two new
accessories for the Modular Drive System
(MDS): automated height control and seam
tracking.
The automated height control system
provides automatic up/down positioning of
the torch when using CV weld processes.
Features include current set point control
and manual or automatic mode.
The seam tracking system uses an electromechanical probe mounted ahead of the
welding torch to follow the weld joint and
provides automatic, motorized left/right
adjustment of the welding torch position.
Control modes are automatic or manual.

Air filtration unit
RoboVent’s eDrive air filtration system uses
a sensor to monitor the airflow through the
unit. Then using a variable-frequency drive,
it automatically adjusts the motor’s RPM to
compensate for filter loading.
According to the company, energy peaks
and valleys are evened out, 20 to 30 percent
of energy is saved, and filter life is extended
by as much as 30 percent.
